KAEUFER’s mobile platforms are the latest innovative German-engineered technology.

KAEUFER mobile platforms and access systems are adaptable and customizable to fit any utility-scale wind energy towers. All surfaces of a blade can be reached for inspection and repair. Precise control of winches allows safe maneuvering of platform close to the blade along its entire length.

The platforms are easy to transport. They can be assembled and erected on any surface, even on rough terrain or offshore.

With KAEUFER mobile platforms and access systems, there will not be any expenses for crane rentals.

The platform is powered by electric winches and can climb to any heights. Distance supports can be adjusted electrically or mechanically to reach the required working position at the rotor blades.

The unique design of the WKA II offers a host of additional benefits compared to other platform designs:

  • The stable design of the platform, resting against the tower as well as the blades by means of soft rollers are virtually the only efficient way to perform larger repairs safely and properly

    The platform is designed for wind power plants up to approx. 5 MW. It is suspended on steel wires and climbs upward to any heights using 2 electric winches.

    Distance supports are to be adjusted electrically or mechanically to reach the required working position at the rotor blades. The payload of this platform amounts to 880 lbs and the dead weight amounts to 2650 lbs. The platform can be used in stall or pitch position. The manual adjustable sliding platforms ensure that the blades can be reached comfortably.

    For easy transport the platform can be mounted on a trailer. For setting up the platform the trailer will be parked in front of the tower.

  • Mobile platform: Type K-WKA-U-1W

    The platform is designed for power plants up to approx. 1.3 MW. It climbs upward to any heights using one electric winch. The payload of this smaller platform amounts to 550 lbs and the dead weight amounts to 1300 lbs.

    The platform can be used in stall or pitch position. The end sections are adjustable in each angle position so that the blades can be reached comfortably. This platform can be erected easily and quickly in a minimal set up time.
